One central oil pick up pipe. When turning a right hand bend the oil in your engine naturally goes to the left away from the standard pick up pipe. When this happens for a split second your engine oil pressure drops (watch your oil pressure gauge). This can damage your engine and even cause seizure. . This does exactly what it says, it picks the oil up from the centre of the gearbox eliminating the problem.
